Twin Peaks (Pilot)

synopsis

The body of a young girl (Laura Palmer) is washed up on a beach near the small Washington state town of Twin Peaks. FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper is called in to investigate her strange demise only to uncover a web of mystery that ultimately leads him deep into the heart of the surrounding woodland and his very own soul. This movie length feature is the pilot episode for the cult TV show that asked the question "Who killed Laura Palmer"? The movie, also known as the "European Pilot," was commissioned as a "one off" project to be shown in European cinemas in the event that the series wasn't picked up. This way, the production wouldn't be a loss. WARNING: Can I watch the pilot without spoiling the rest of the series? Yes. However, if you watch this 113 minute version of the pilot and intend to watch the complete TV episodes, we suggest you stop watching immediately after the scene in which Sheriff Truman says "It must have happened about this time, 24 hours ago." This scene occurs about 90 minutes after the episode begins.
