Orchestra musicians argue the merits of their respective instruments while waiting for a rehearsal that is to be filmed as a television documentary. When the German conductor arrives, the ancient building is shaken by rumblings, the electricity fails and a demolition crew gets to work. Meanwhile, the musicians stage a revolt against the conductor.
