Disc 1: 1954 film version with Laurence Harvey and Susan Shentall.
In Shakespeare's classic play, the Montagues and Capulets, two families of Renaissance Italy, have hated each other for years, but the son of one family and the daughter of the other fall desperately in love and secretly marry.
Disc 2 : A 1966 ballet performance with Margot Fonteyn and Rudolph Nureyev. This is a filmed version of a performance of Prokofiev's ballet Romeo and Juliet, as originally presented at the Royal Opera House. The stars are the incomparable Rudolf Nureyev and Margot Fonteyn.
