The Three Ages

synopsis

Love hasn’t changed much over the ages. Or has it? In Buster Keaton’s first independent feature film, he parodies love and romance across the prehistoric, roman and ‘modern’ ages. A keen satire of DW Griffith's Intolerance, this early classic from Keaton, arguably cinema's greatest-ever comic, foreshadows the historical comedy of Mel Brooks and Monty Python.
