The Evil of Frankenstein

synopsis

The third entry in Hammer Studio's legendary Frankenstein series, The Evil of Frankenstein begins with Baron Frankenstein (Peter Cushing) and his loyal assistant Hans forced to take up residence in a grand castle in a remote rural region. There they discover Frankenstein's formidable creature (hulking former wrestler Kiwi Kingston) bizarely frozen in a block of ice! Frankenstein enlists the aid of arrogant, alcohic sideshow hypnotist Zoltan (played with pompous aplomb by Peter Woodthorpe) to revive the creature. However, Zoltan has his own evil plans for the brutish behemoth. Helmed by Academy Award-winning cinematographer turned director Freddie Francis (Tales from the Crypt), this is a stylish and fright-filled Hammer horror classic.
