The Brides of Dracula

synopsis

Sequel to the legendary Horror of Dracula with Christopher Lee, and directed by Hammer icon Terrence Fisher, the acclaimed Brides of Dracula sees vampire hunter Van Helsing returns to Transylvania to destroy handsome bloodsucker Baron Meinster, who has designs on beautiful young schoolteacher Marianne. Probably Hammer's best horror, David Peel is formidable as an aristocratic young Dracula, and Peter Cushing's Dr Van Helsing is still the scourge of vampirism in Victorian Europe. Includes some great Hammer Horror moments, and a truly creepy Oedipel relationship between the Baron and his Mother. The breathtaking set design, atmosphere and mood set the standard for the great Hammer films of the era.
