A film adaptation of the notorious `Profumo Affair', which in the Britain of the early 60's eventually brought down the ruling Conservative Government. Joanne Whalley-Kilmer portrays Christine Keeler, the call-girl who slept with British Cabinet Minister for Defence, John Profumo (Ian McKellern), but also with Soviet Naval Attache Ivanov (Jeroen Krabbe), so sparking high-level political controversy when the British newspapers got hold of the story.
