Stannie McLaurel and his inseperable companion Ollie arrive in Scotland intending to collect Stannie's lavish inheritance. Unfortunately, it is less than they expected, and the woeful laddies are stranded with no home and no money. It's another fine mess Stan's gotten them into! The boys manage to get a job - as privates in the Scottish army stationed in India. The harsh sun only fires them into further shenanigans, as they get into more than wee bit o' trouble attempting to reunite two lovers and save a regiment.
