Roger Moore stars in his last appearance as 007, pitting his wits against a billionaire industrialist, who intends to make a killing of earthquake proportions on the world microchip market. Super-intelligent Max Zorin (Christopher Walken), the product of Nazi genetic experimentation, has stolen top secret research material relating to microchips designed by the British to withstand a nuclear explosion. By creating an earthquake along the San Andreas fault and flooding California's Silicon Valley, Zorin intends to seize control of the world market. Together with Stacey Sutton, hell-bent for revenge on Zorin for swindling her father, James Bond must thwart his evil plan to drown thousands of innocent scientists. But 007 has to face the most vicious adversary of his career to do so – Zorin's psychotic partner in crime, May Day (Grace Jones).
