Mima's story takes place in the town of Sete, France at Christmas time in 1966. Mima lives with her extended family, which has moved from Calabria. This Christmas, the past catches up with her grandfather. Mima has to cope with the consequences, and the film gently captures the moments as a young girl grows into adolescence. It is powerful and poignant, with elements of a suspenseful thriller.
