Nobody's Fault is Part One of Charles Dicken's mordant satire on Victorian corruption and degradation filed with vivid characters who, vain, humble, grotesque or exotic, cross and recross each other's path busily weaving a tangled web around Arthur Clennam, a kind but ineffectual man for whom luck always turns sour. Played by acclaimed actor Derek Jacobi, Clennam's efforts to break from his grim and loveless childhood find him drifting through life bewildered, trying to be purposeful and to do what is right, and failing. Surrounded by pretense and greed, he ruins himself through foolish speculation and is thrown into debtor's prison, where he once again becomes involved with Little Dorrit, whose story is told in PART 2. Part two of Charles Dickens' Victorian drama 'Little Dorrit' which continues the story of Arthur Clennam, thrown into prison for non-payment of debts.
