Tribute To A Bad Man

synopsis

A perfect blend of action, drama and romance combined with 'four extraordinarily fine performances' (Cue) make this outstanding film an absolute must for every fan of the Western genre. James Cagney gives one of the strongest performances of his career as Jeremy Rodock, a ruthless horse breeder who is used to acting as judge, jury and hangman in the remote hills far away from the laws of any nearby town. Although he gives a job to the man who saves his life, Rodock's callousness puts him at risk of losing everything…including the woman he loves. Directed by two-time Oscar winner Robert Wise and written by Michael Blankfort, this excellent adaptation of Jack Schaefer's short story features early screen appearances by Vic Morrow (Blackboard Jungle) and Lee Van Cleef (The Good, The Bad And The Ugly).
