synopsis

Set in Hong Kong in the hot summer of 1960. A disillusioned and cruel young man is kept in luxury by a retired courtesan who provides everything except the identity of his real mother. He plays carelessly with lovers until leaving for the Philippines where the truth may ultimately destroy him.
