Maggie Smith won a well deserved Best Actress Academy Award in 1969 for her tour de force performance in this fine screen adaptation of Muriel Spark's novel. Miss Jean Brodie is an eccentric and outspoken schoolteacher at an exclusive Edinburgh school for girls in the 1930's. She regards her "gels" as the "creme de la creme" and instills in them her outrageous views on politics love and life. The irresistible Miss Brodie is not one to give without a fight though...
