My Life As A Dog

synopsis

From the director of The Cider House Rules and Chocolat, this internationally acclaimed film is a tender portrayal of the wisdom and resilience of a young boy, set in 1959. Shipped off to live with his uncle for the summer when his mother falls ill, 12 year old Ingemar is on the verge of puberty and grasping to understand his sexuality while searching for acceptance. He finds both with the help of the town's warm-hearted eccentrics.
