How do you get rid of an unwanted visitor - particularly when he's dead? Leave it to elderly pals Flo (Julia Blake) and Minnie (Lynette Curran) to cook up an outrageous solution. When a small-time thief takes Flo hostage in her boarding house, he is closely followed by Sgt. Harry who decides to rent a room. Flo is horrified but Minnie can't stay away. By accident the thief is asphyxiated, leaving the two women to fend off a police investigation. In the vein of 'Arsenic and Old Lace' Mushrooms is a deliciously inventive comedy with a wicked twist.
