Having survived the dangers of New York City and settled back into life as a crocodile wrangler in Walkabout Creek, the amiable Mick Dundee is now enjoying life with partner Sue (Linda Kozlowski) and their nine year old son Mikey, (Serge Cockburn). However, it's a slow period and Mick's beginning to wonder if crocodile hunting has had its day. But, when Sue suddenly gets temporarily assigned to the L.A. office of her father's newspaper replacing the original Bureau Chief who has died under suspicious circumstances, Mick and family are propelled into the fast lane of Los Angeles. Thrust into the pace and bustle of modern LA and the bizarre celebrity world of tinsel town, Mick's on roll, partying with the stars, meditating with Mike Tyson and even thinking about marriage to Sue. Life holds "no worries" until Mick becomes involved in helping Sue look into the suspicious death of her predecessor. Going undercover with a job at Paramount Studios, he soon finds himself face to face with the enemy. Wrestling crocodiles is nothing compared to swimming with studio sharks in L.A. and equipped with his survival skills from the outback, he sets about saving the day...
