synopsis


Nothing is what it seems behind the well-trimmed hedges of the picturesque cottages in the idyllic English countryside of Midsomer. Beneath the tranquil surface of sleepy village life, there exist dark secrets, scandals & downright evil. Murder, kidnap and blackmail are commonplace among the eccentric inhabitants of Midsomer. Midsomer Murders is the long running TV series of contemporary murder mysteries, based on the award winning Inspector Barnaby novels by mystery writer Caroline Graham whom the Sunday Times describes as "the best detective writer since Agatha Christie".

A visit to his convalescent aunt prompts Barnaby to investigate a series of suspicious deaths at the nursing home where she is staying.

The residents of Midsomer Mallow fear for their chances in the Perfect Village competition when a local thief and womanizer is brutally killed with a pitchfork.

Season 3, Episode 4: Beyond the Grave

Barnaby and Troy, with an actor tagging along for research, investigate a slashed painting at a museum, which later turns out to be the site of a murder.
